Knowledge transfer
Training as a keystone
Training is the key to questioning, acquiring new skills and legitimizing new fields of innovation. It is a challenge and a duty for all caregivers and scientists, so that as many people as possible can benefit from their experiences, both good and bad. The aim is to improve tomorrow.
It has two main focuses:
Professional training
Transmission to a wide audience
Various training supports
Knowledge can be imparted at conferences and training days in France and abroad, at the request of organizers.
SYNAPSE then helps with the production of communication materials, the logistics of the event and travel assistance if the project is in line with the association’s bylaws.

Initial training
Teaching physiotherapy students at IFM3R in Saint Sébastien-sur-Loire since 2016 covering topics such as:
Rehabilitation of spinal static disorders in children and adolescents
Child development
The semiology of neuromuscular diseases in children
Neurological pathological walking patterns in children
We respond to institutional orders and share innovations and related research topics whenever they are of interest to students.
Students frequently come to the ESEAN-APF France Handicap rehabilitation center for practical training.
We are also involved in the evaluation and defense of their final dissertations.

Continuing education
A multi-disciplinary team welcomes and supervises medical students on practical training courses at ESEAN-APF: interns from Nantes University Hospital and, since 2024, externs as well, but also students from other university centers in France on training courses outside the subdivision.
Internatinal exchanges
Since 2015, interns and fellowships (clinical monitors) from the Quebec faculties of CHU Sainte Justine, Centre de Réadaptation Marie Enfant and Sherbrooke, made the trip for internships ranging from 1 month to 1 year.
This underscores the special relationship we cultivate with our Canadian colleagues in terms of both clinical approach and innovation. It’s a bond of trust that has lasted since 2010, even before the creation of SYNAPSE, and demonstrates our international outlook.

Expert presentations
“Expert intervention” means that a company or institution asks SYNAPSE to work on a particular subject and then present it to an audience. The subjects are varied and reflect SYNAPSE’s expertise and values.

Research conferences and seminars
Conferences and seminars are ideal places to synthesize thoughts and work. And then to convey them concisely and accurately to an audience of professionals, but also family representatives and families. The aim is to place innovation in healthcare at the service of others, in a transparent manner.
