The SYNAPSE association

SYNAPSE is a simple, responsive structure at the heart of our healthcare business, where emergencies are omnipresent.

Independent and flexible, it responds to research and training needs to maintain high standards and quality.

The association was created in 2017 to finance research projects, the purchase of innovative equipment and training courses.

Logo design

The logo is a planisphere supported by children’s hands. A network links the different points of the globe. One part represents the cosmos, with its stars, including the Orion constellation, which is highly recognizable in the sky, projecting us towards more distant and audacious projects.

The S in SYNAPSE takes a shape that resembles the APF France Handicap logo, but with the typology of the European Space Agency. What a program!

Children’s hands to carry out universal projects, this is one of SYNAPSE’s motivations, to take care of the most vulnerable in order to carry out projects for the benefit of everyone on our planet. And beyond?

Come on board with SYNAPSE!

The association’s priorities

The purpose of SYNAPSE is to carry out actions of general interest, to support innovation, training and transmission in the field of healthcare.

We have identified three priorities:

Nutrition and metabolism

These tools and areas of intervention benefit a wide range of clinical conditions, and can help with pathologies such as traumatic, oncological or neuromuscular events.

SYNAPSE aims to support patients, their families and caregivers.

    Our partners

ESEAN – APF is the reference establishment for and by which many projects are realized. SYNAPSE was created by its head physician to boost innovation, clinical research and training. It’s a jewel in the crown of children’s rehabilitation in Nantes, France.

This hospital provides multidisciplinary care for children and young people aged 0-18 and their families. SYNAPSE helps them to improve their quality of life, and not just endure disability.

ESEAN is one of three health establishments belonging to APF France handicap.

Nantes University Hospital has many employees with whom we have strong scientific and friendly ties.
